Another Successful Donation to the Thea Rix Foundation
Another successful donation from the Rubicon Ladies Chatterbox to the Thea Rix Foundation!
Our talented ladies lovingly knitted a variety of warm items, including beanies, scarves, blankets, and many other essentials, which were handed over to Thea Rix to help those in need during this cold winter.
The Thea Rix Foundation supports various charities, including GRIP, and continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many. Thea’s compassion and dedication to serving the community are truly inspiring.
Thank you, Thea, for your big heart and for all that you do. Together, Rubicon will continue reaching out to those in need and making a positive difference in our community.
A Mesmerizing Morning with Venetia Rose
Rubicon was privileged to host a truly mesmerizing morning in the presence of an angel, Venetia Rose – The Angelic Voice of South Africa.
Our residents were deeply moved, with many brought to tears as Venetia shared her inspiring life journey and the incredible courage she has shown while overcoming significant health challenges.
Her breathtaking voice transported us to heavenly places as she performed beautiful renditions such as Pie Jesu and The Phantom of the Opera, leaving everyone captivated.
Beyond her remarkable talent, we fell in love with her humble, down-to-earth personality and her unwavering strength and determination. She is a true inspiration to us all.
Thank you, Venetia, for sharing your heart, your story, and your extraordinary gift with the Rubicon family. It was a morning that will be cherished by all.
Vintage Olympics @ Rubicon
What an unforgettable day at Rubicon as we hosted our first-ever Vintage Olympics – and what a day of fun, fun, fun! It started off with a line dancing show of our lovely ladies.
Six enthusiastic teams competed in a variety of exciting games, filling the day with laughter, teamwork, and wonderful memories. Congratulations to the Yellow Team, who proudly took home the championship trophy!
Every participant received a medal in recognition of their fantastic sportsmanship and enthusiasm. A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful supporters who cheered on the teams throughout the morning. Your encouragement made the event even more special.
The competitive spirit of our retirees was truly evident, proving that age is no barrier to determination, laughter, and having a great time.
This was such a tremendous success that the Rubicon Vintage Olympics will now become an annual tradition. We can’t wait for next year’s games!
Smiles, Sizzle & a Surprise Hamper: Residents Gather for Another Joyful Monthly Rubicon Braai
The monthly Rubicon braai, hosted by Timbali Eats, once again brought residents together for a warm and interactive afternoon filled with laughter, friendly conversation, and a true sense of community. The relaxed atmosphere, delicious aromas, and smiling faces made it a memorable get-together for all who attended.
Adding to the excitement, one lucky resident walked away with a beautiful hamper — a delightful surprise that added an extra touch of joy to an already special occasion. Moments like these continue to make the Rubicon braai a highlight on the community calendar.
Farewell to Driekie Heiberg
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our first General Manager, Driekie Heiberg, as she steps into retirement. Driekie’s leadership, dedication, and vision played a pivotal role in laying the foundation of our organisation, and her commitment has left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working with her. We thank her for her invaluable contribution over the years and wish her a fulfilling, joyful, and well-deserved retirement.
